Mark 5:13 (NIV)
13 .......He gave them permission, and the evil spirits came out and went into the pigs. The herd, about two thousand in number, rushed down the steep bank into the lake and were drowned. They begged Jesus (see previous verses) so Jesus gave them permission. He had, and still has, power over the demonic world. In fact, his death and resurrection has made clear that power over Satan and his legions. This is important because we clearly see the result of demonic control in the fate of the pigs: death and destruction. From the very beginning of the story of Scripture, when Satan and his demons are allowed control, they bring death and destruction. Let's never forget that our ultimate enemy, the Devil, seeks to work death and destruction in our lives! Let's resist, oppose, fight, stand up against, and defeat his work with the help of God's Spirit at work in our lives.

Amen- all must bow tho the Master and it is He who lives in us. Greater is He that is in me than He that is in the world.

Mark 1:25-26
25....."Be quiet!" said Jesus sternly. "Come out of him!" 26......The evil spirit shook the man violently and came out of him with a shriek. Jesus had power over the evil one and the vile power he seeks to wield. He defeated him during the temptation in the wilderness. He defeated him in every encounter during his life. Most gloriously, he defeated him in the place of Satan's greatest power -- death. Jesus' victory over Satan and death will be most gloriously realized when he comes again in glory with victory for all of his disciples.
