I think sometime people put too much emphasis on emotions or feelings as a guide when the word of God should be our main source. Who is the word anyway?
If you feel the Spirit moving you to pray for somebody would that be considered emotion? Or an overpowering feeling to give, or praise the lord out of the blue.

I'm trying to be more focused on how the Holy Spirit guides my life. And I agree focusing on the Word is the first step.

But I would like to find more insight/experience from other people on how they use it for guidance.
