My thoughts are that this concept is ridiculous.
I don't know what the Powers That Be are thinking. I've never heard a really good defense for changing the time. Do they suppose that God didn't take the lives of human beings into account when he created the days and nights and the seasons? Why,
why do we feel the need to mess with it and alienate ourselves from most of the rest of the world (timewise) in the process?
Personally...I used to live in the Pacific Northwest, and because of DST it didn't start getting dark in the high months of summer until 9 or 10 p.m. This definitely affected my sleeping habits and I never saw the point. Just get done what you need to get done while it's still light outside! And take advantage of electricity after that. That's my 2 cents.
