Amy, I was givin a book by one of my good friends that might help you. It's called "The Purpose Driven Life" by Warren Richard. I'm just into the first few chapters and it's awesome. If you are wondering what is Gods role in your life, well you need to discover what his Purpose is for you in life.
Get the book and see what I mean. Here's a verse from one of the chapters...
Isaiah 26:3 (TEV) "You, LORD, give perfect peace to those who keep their purpose firm and put their trust in you."
