Jesus tells us in His "Sermon on the Mont, sin starts with thoughts in our minds. Where do good thoughts or sinful thoughts come from? Either God or Satan.
Jesus declares, if a man lusteth after a woman, he has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
This tells me, thoughts are not all of our own. Boanerges also showed Scripture that proves that.
We can find lusful thoughts pop into our minds, but we can reject them as well. Or... we can let them linger, to eventually see them carried thru.
Evil thoughts that pop in are not bad, unless we let them linger long enough to act upon them. Sinful thoughts cannot become manifested sin, if we reject them right away.
God declares the battle is of the spirit, not of the flesh. Therefore, let not your neighbor's chiding or laughing bother you. This is Satan or a demon thru them, laughing at the Holy Spirit in you, trying to do the Father's Will thru you.
Ministers get so wore out from dealing with people always trying to battle other people, when it is Satan and his Demons against God and the Trinity who are battling, not people.
God tells us to love, Satan convinces us to hate. These are the good or evil thoughts given us, we must choose from to do. Which ever form is the kind we like and accept, is the influence that is the "root" of a tree, seen by the fruit it bears.
God's Word shows there are many types of demons existing, from doctrinal, to suicidal, to imitators, those of death, dumb, blind, deaf, plus more.
Be in prayer and start fasting as well some. Jesus showed there are those demons which cannot be dealt with without praying and fasting both. And as for "types" of demons, demons of lust can be many types as well. There are those of lust for money, material things, sinful relationships, power, position, prestige, plus more.
If want to deal with these spirit entities, read everything you can from God's Word about them, from Angelic visits to people such as Noah, spying out Canaan- (Anak's sons), Abraham, Lot, Daniel, and others, besides how Jesus dealt with demons during His Minstry.
This will not only give you an idea how far they can interact with our phys. world, but also show how God created Angelic beings to be of certain types or intelligence or having specific abilities. And you'll never find any Scriptures to show where God took away the abilities of "Fallen Angels", but only removed them from His domain.
