"We Christians believe that God is indeed the Supreme Being of the universe and that He is a just God AND a loving God." So do Muslims.
"But, we are aware of the gulf that separates Him from us, which means that our pleas for forgiveness cannot reach Him directly." I do not understand how sin can block us from directly connecting with God. Surely He can make the connection even if we cannot because He is all powerful.
