We Christians believe that God is indeed the Supreme Being of the universe and that He is a just God AND a loving God. But, we are aware of the gulf that separates Him from us, which means that our pleas for forgiveness cannot reach Him directly.
However, we also know that God, in His great love for us, bridged that gap through His Son Jesus' death on the cross. We believe that Jesus paid the price for mankind's collective sin and that when a person receives Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior God's forgiveness becomes available to him.
