I think, unless you have a child in public school, you would tend to believe that. If your kids went to private (Christian) school all their lives, then they'd also have that idea. That public school sucked. But, in reality, some public schools are not bad at all. My son is a teacher, well actually a full-time sub right now, and he said he really enjoys it because most of the kids are pretty polite and not at all what he expected them to be like at this point, with all the negative talk about them.
Of course, when he was in public school, we lived in Salem, OR, and there were gangs, police at the doors, and even a murder once. Oh, yes, and plenty of drugs and girls were taken to Planned Parenthood on Thursdays if they needed abortions. That's why we moved to a small town in Iowa, where the schools are still decent.
What if all the Christians pulled their kids out of public school? Then, maybe the schools would be in a mess, but a lot depends on the teachers who are hired too. Some of them are also Christians. I don't know what the answer is for the bad schools, but I don't think parents should take their kids out just because of what they've been told. I think parents should get more involved. Like they used to be and stop giving control to the radical groups to take over. We do have rights you know, we simply need to step up and take them. Get on the school board. Try loading it with Christians. What do you think?
