That is true, and often God is not in charge at some point or maybe not at any point. Honestly, sometimes people marry while they are not Christians, and God is not in charge. If one spouse becomes a Christian, or even if one spouse is a Christian from the beginning...... either way there is still one spouse left in the equation who is not a Christian and is not allowing God to be in control.

I know that many churches recognize three times that divorce is okay: 1) adultery, 2) abuse, and 3) if one spouse is a non-believer and asks for a divorce. (I think I recall seeing number 3 in the Bible some place, but off hand I do not know the reference.)

Divorce is certainly not desirable and should be a last resort. Fortunately God is forgiving of all our faults and sins. I am more than likely going through a divorce right now. It's posted in the prayer request area. It is not something that I want or desire. I am in my 5th month of pregnancy with my fourth child and I worry about the health of my unborn child as I go through all of this turmoil and pain. I have lost over 20 pounds during this pregnancy, and I am daily in tears. I am trying my best to eat right, take vitamins, and keep myself together for all my children.
