thats a good word.... I have seen people... it seems especially those who have come out of the drug culture, but not strictly so of course... who seem to view God and/or church as little more than a place to get their next "fix". They try to ride from one emotional high to the next. And while emotions are good, they were created by God after all, its wrong to seek after the emotional/spiritual high rather than seeking God Himself for who He is. Its also dangerous in the sense that this people think that just because they haven't got "high" lately, that there is now something wrong with them, or that God doesn't love them as much, etc etc etc. In fact, I have even seen people leave the church when they stopped getting their high because they thought that maybe this "God-thing" wasn't real after all. All they have seemed to have done is to have substituted one addiction for another.

blessings,
Ken
