Anyway, my question here, is as a new Christian, how do I rid of those negative thoughts I've been getting? I think a lot, about Christianity, and I've been saved for about 2 months now. In these two months, man has my mind been going crazy. Everytime I think something about Christianity makes sense, something else tells me "no, that can't be possible!"

I definitely feel as if I am under attack. Since I've been a Christian, Jehovas Witnesses came to my door to give me a pamphlet, then they came back and asked for me. Also, a book of Mormon pamphlet showed up in my bedroom (it totally threw me off too, because I had no idea what Mormon was, and the pamphlet mentioned Jesus, and I almost looked into it until my mother explained differently.)

Anyway, I'm rambling. I'd just like to know how to keep Satan out of my mind. I know how to keep Satan out of my everyday life decisions, but I feel as if I have little to no control over the thoughts that go on in my head! (As weird as that sounds.)

Can anybody offer me some insight? I'm sure I'm not the only one who's gone through this. =]

Thanks
Amy
Amy,
Paul wrote down some insight for you in Romans 7 and 8. Though this maybe heavy for you right now, know that even he had the same trouble. Within you church, surround yourself with active members, participate in bible studies, make spending time with God; praying, studying, listening, observing God in all that is around you. As my mentor told me when I first became a Christian,

"Your mind will be filled with something. If you do not fill it with Godly things, it will be filled with worldly things."

and

"Your understanding of God is always moving, either up the mountain (increasing) or down the mountain (decreasing). It is never standing still. If you are not growing, you are shrinking".

These I have come to know is true. When I spend time away from scripture, talking and listening to God, I do find myself farther away from HIM, and the doubt the world takes HIS place.
