We used to have the fireworks display (4th of July) up on top of South Mountain. (ok, its not a mountain, but its higher than anything else around here! And we worked our happy little rears off! Besides all the other fires in the county!
Now, we have the fireworks display at the park, where it is more controlled and we only have spot fires that are easy to put out. yay!  So much better! I just wish someone had the foresight to ban fireworks this month since it is so dry and grown up.
Tomorrow, my hubby and I are going out of town, and we are kinda concerned about leaving the county with such fire danger. But its work related (his job), and our son, who is also a fire fighter is taking off for the holiday.
Just pray for low wind, and wisdom for the county residents! ha!
Anyone up for  before we go on our diets?
