Now, listen to me!
There is not one of us that does not fall under at least one of these categories!
I promise you that!
BUT, do not refer to yourself as retarded because you are not, in the term that most people think of.
One story for you~
I had an Uncle who was 5' 4" and pale skinned.
He had no special education but had much common sense!
He truly loved and served God and was loved back.
Was it his height?
His color?
His weight?
His looks?
No, it was not.
It was his sincerity.
His Godly Heart.
His kindness toward everyone.
THAT is what truly matters!
He was loved by all.
Now, this is the God's honest truth!
After he died, we were talking about his height.
I was speachless!
You know why?
I never realized he was shorter than me.
To me he was the biggest man there could be.
He was handsome to me.
He was so loving and good hearted and I will never forget him as he had a great influence in my life.
He was not even my blood Uncle but my Uncle through marriage.
God made you and God does NOT make mistakes.
Now it is up to you to not only put your full trust in the LORD, but to believe in yourself through God's power and strength!
You will become what you set your mind to become!
Remember this.
Look at yourself and thank God for his masterpiece in you as a unique and very special person.
Be proud of who God created in you and stand proud and tall and that is how others will see you.
FOCUS ON YOUR STRENGTHS BECAUSE WE ALL HAVE THEM IN SOME FORM!
Love, Violet

Thank you. Because of diabetes and a childhood disease in my hip that left one leg a little shorter than the other, I was declared 50% handicapped by the German government. That left a bad taste in my mouth. After all I've been through and all that I've accomplished I felt less worth than before I heard the news. My wife is a person who loves to encourage people and she has a gift for it. What you have written here is icing on her cake of encouragement. Bless you.
