Our Pastor recently mentioned this in one of his sermons. He was talking about the Christmas tree actually having pagan origins as well as the December 25 originally being a Roman holiday (which if I remember right was the celebration of the rise of the fallen sun). But he said irregardless of all of that Christmas gets people thinking about Jesus. If we can get people to at least open their minds to the thought of Jesus we are one step closer to making believers out of them.
