Question Punishment for sin?

Hey guys,

Im new to the forum and this is my first thread..The other day me and my friend were having an argument in the car about there being a punishment for sin that we commit....

Yes i know that Jesus died on the cross so that we might have forgiveness for our sins..But is there a punishment for every sin we commit...Im talking about breaking any of the 10 commandments...

For e.g

If a young christian woman knowing that adultery is wrong goes and looses her virginity with her bf before marriage, regardless of whether her bf is a christian or not (that does not matter)...It is a sin i know that?? But if she asks for forgiveness she is forgiven but isn't there a punishment that she has to go through on earth..

The Bible teaches us that there is a consequence for every sin that we commit on earth...I even heard Ps Benny Hinn say that God will 4give you but there is a punishment on earth for your sin. Although when you die and go to heaven your sins are remembered no more..My friend disagrees with this?? I he right or am I??

Thanks
Jake
