HURRICANE NOEL Advisory, 02 November 2007, 05:10 HRS CDT
NOEL was upgraded to Catagory 1 Hurricane status a short time ago. The storm center is now located between Florida and Bermuda and is moving northeast at 18 MPH. Top sustained winds are over 80 MPH with gusting to 100+ and strengthening is taking place each hour.
Persons along the East Coast of the US from North Carolina northward and the Canadian Maritime Provinces are being urged to monitor local NWS Weather announcements, watches and warnings. Coastal flooding is a probability all along the East Coast due to the proximity of this hurricane and it's current track. This storm has a history of producing significant damage along its path and has taken well in excess of 100 lives.
