NoDoubt,
Just checking in again to say "Hi" and see how you're getting along. The nice thing about this forum is that we can't see gestures and don't demand immediate responses, or even appropriate facial expressions. Yay for smilies! I, for one, have a flat affect at this moment, but am smiling on the inside.
Having experienced the paralysis of social awkwardness and depression at times, I can relate qualitatively, though perhaps not quantitatively. I tried a Christian chat site some years ago, but found the rapid pace of interaction too much. One sad fact is that even the best communication is rather sloppy. I lost a job once partly because my best efforts to communicate in a positive and professional way were completely misconstrued in both intent and content. I've had people offended at me for years because of what they thought I communicated and which I was completely unaware had been taken wrong. I had a guy mad at me for years because he thought I had ignored him when I hadn't even been aware that he was around. Even my complete oblivion caused offense! Sometimes you just have to sigh and shrug your shoulders.
I hope you can feel at home in this forum, and I'm glad you found us.
