HURRICANE FELIX UPDATE, 13:30 Hrs USA-CDT, Sept. 02, 2007
Hurricane Felix is building in intensity very quickly and is now a MAJOR HURRICANE at Category 3. Top sustained winds are hovering around 130 MPH with gusting to over 150 MPH.
The track is now west northwest and the storm will continue to strengthen.
SOME computer models are showing a
possible jog to the north over the next several days. Therefore, persons along the Gulf Coast of the US should be monitoring this storm carefully. These north component computer models are in the minority at this time, but are picking up some weather interactions that could possibly influence the storm tracking in a few days.
Additional Updates will be posted as conditions warrant.
