HURRICANE FELIX SPECIAL UPDATE 19:30 Hrs USA CDT, 01 Sept 2007
Tropical Storm Felix became Hurricane Felix over the past 2 hours. It is currently moving west at 17 miles per hour and is located 390 miles east of Aruba.
This storm will track near the same route taken by Hurricane Dean, but once it passes over the Yucatan Peninsula by September 5-6, it may start to take a more northerly track.
Persons in Jamaica and the Cayman Islands should be alert for changing conditions. Persons along the Gulf Coast of the US should monitor this storm carefully.
