Initial Report - 01 September 2007, 06:00 Hrs USA CDT:
Topical Storm Felix formed near Barbados overnight from a Tropical low pressure area. It is currently near the island of Grenada in the southeastern Caribbean Sea moving in a westerly direction. This storm will intensify and will initially take a track just south of the track that Hurricane Dean took recently.
There are many potential variables regarding possible track direction changes. Persons in the central Caribbean islands should monitor the progress of this storm carefully.
