The Bible was written 2000 years ago for the past, present and even for generations yet to come. Jesus Christ has not changed for us. He is the same yesterday and today and forever (Hebrews 13:8).

1 Peter 1
23 For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.
24 For, "All men are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall,
25 but the word of the Lord stands forever." And this is the word that was preached to you.

If you believe in Jesus and accept Him to take over your life, then you are bound to obey the rules laid down by God. There no turning back. Ofcourse, we are all not perfect. At such instances, we can ask God for forgiveness. My knowledge is that homosexuality is something that can be avoided provided you pray over it continously and make an effort to change yourself. This is just the start. There will soon be other such legalisations. It's all part of the end time.
