Thanks, Crystal, for the e-mail and message. I've been saved for 22+ years and all during that time, I've had no problem telling people about Jesus in church settings or in message board/chat room settings on the internet. But, when it comes to witnessing to people face to face away from a church environment, I've been tongue-tied.
I've been praying for help with that issue and God has shown me Scriptures like Mt 10:18-20, which says "On my account you will be brought before governors and kings to witness to them and to the Gentiles. But when they arrest you do not worry about what to say or how to say it. At that time you will be given what to say. For it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you."
I also remember a word from the Lord that came forth for a friend of mine some years ago in connection with this very issue. In that message, God said to him, "Even the Apostles stepped on their tongues once in a while while witnessing for Me. Don't worry about it!"
