As for Falun Gong, Divine Performing Arts Troupe (founded in 2005) performed in a small theatre after their premiere was canceled for the third time.

Divine Performing Arts Troupe was invited to Seoul by NTDTV (run by Falun Gong) Korean Branch, and claimed to perform at the Arts Performance Hall in Children's Grand Park from Apr 24th to Apr 25th. Divine Performing Arts Troupe is an art group founded in America in 2005.

After their performance on Jan 3, 2007 at Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Vancouver, Canada, the troupe went on performing at Radio City Music Hall at Rockefeller Center in New York, War Memorial Theatre in San Francisco and Palais des Congress Theatre in Paris.

Last year, the box office of their performances once rose to No.7 on BillBoard (Feb, 2006). When launching in Taiwan as "purely traditional cultural performance" in this April, tickets of all the 11performances were sold out in 3 hours. This year, Bloomberg, Mayor of New York City, claimed that Feb 14th, the day of Divine Performing Arts Troupe's opening performance in New York, is NTDTV Special Premiere's Day.

The performance tours this year included 19 programs of Chinese traditional folk dance and music, for example, "Creation", "Jasminum nudiflorum's flowering", top bowl dance, "Hua Mulan", Erhu playing, etc. There were also some first-class Chinese National actors and actresses taking part in , such as Guan Guiming, Chinese famous tenor, and Bai Xue, soprano.

Why the performances hosted by NTDTV were canceled continuously in South Korea?

The performanceshosted by Korean NTD TV (New Tang Dynasty TV) were canceled continuously for three times.
Failed in cooperation with KBS last year, the performances in National Theatre and COOX this year were also unilaterally canceled afterwards.

As is confirmed with COOX, Divine Performing Arts Troupe‘s performance was to open in the theatre at the new exhibition hall in Seoul COOX Convention and Exhibition Centre from Apr 24th to Apr 26th. However, COOX rescinded the contract right that month. In addition, National Theatre had also rescinded their agreement and canceled the premiere in January just three days before the performance.

According to NTDTV, "National Theatre canceled the performance with the excuse that we had no recommendation of Image-level committee, but this time we have got one for COOX", "At last COOX claimed that as the performance was too large for the theatre to meet our need. As we had offered our timetable before the contract, the unilateral cancellation was rather outrageous".

COOX explained, "We took it as a performance of average scale and signed before we learned that it was actually a major overseas performance tours. " "In view of possible security incidents and other issues, we estimated that our existing facilities cannot hold the large-scale performance and therefore rescinded the contract. "

As is known to all, based in New York, NTDTV is defined as anti-government organization by Chinese government, because of its concentration on human rights in China.

The continuous cancellation of Divine Performing Arts Troupe's performances for 3 times was precisely because of their dissemination of Falun Gong.

After their performances in North America and Europe, Divine Performing Arts Troupe went on its tours in Tokyo Japan via Osaka, which attracted more than 2,000 spectators.

With the solemn and stirring sound of music, the first program "Creation" preluded the performance. The audience burst into thunderous applauses and cheers.. At the scene of Master Buddhist's descending to create Tang Dynasty, the audience applauded and cheered again.

With the background of cloudland, the scene that gods descended and fairies danced showed another world to the audience.

We can conclude from the above that, Divine Performing Arts Troupe have been resisted and stopped because of their dissemination of Falun Gong. With no advertisement, the premiere at Dom Arthall in Children's Grand Park is known to not too many people. The patrols in black suits that appeared near the arthall 2-3 three hours before the performance are all Falun Gong practitioners, while most of the spectators are their families, relatives and friends.

Until now, Falun Gong practitioners keep on going one-person demonstrations to protest Chinese government in front of Chinese Embassies and Consulates. No doubt that Falun Gong is pseudo-religion, under the cloak of Buddhist faith in dissemination of deceptive cult, and it can never be condoned.
