Robert,

I think your feelings are something many of us have felt in the past. Many things just don't add up in our minds, so how can the Word of God be true?

Before I go any further, let me make something very clear. These statements cannot go together:

Quote:
I will always be Christian...

...but I'm just not sure about Jesus.
There is no fence-sitting when it comes to Christ. You accept Him or you reject Him, there is no grey area. Being a Christian has nothing to do with going to church or reading your Bible, it has everything to do with a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and recognizing that His sacrifice paid for your sins. I'm a former Catholic and have been where you are right now, but please understand that the rituals of the Catholic faith are no substitute for a personal relationship with Christ. I'm not saying you shouldn't be Catholic, I'm just saying be certain that you're first and foremost a true believer in Christ.

Many things in the Bible are tough to reconcile scientifically. But most of those things, quite honestly, really don't matter. What matters more: the exact date of the creation of the world or the fact that today Christ can begin to heal emotional wounds? The merits of evolution or the ability of an individual Christian to obey the Holy Spirit and change the life of someone less fortunate? No one can prove God, but we can all testify to the work Christ has done in our lives, it's the best and only proof any of us have.

Test the wisdom of the Bible concering our relationship with God and how we are to conduct ourselves in daily life and see if that can be disproven. The parts you struggle with are mysteries, but in the big picture, are completely irrelevant. Don't let the small things get in the way of what matters most.
