I had to reinstall and start using IE7 for this reason. Its a good thing IE keeps standards.
I'm webmaster at work and prefer Firefox. Firefox is a compliant browser which renders web pages according to the standards. IE does not. My experience from what I've learned from others in the field is that you design a page for a compliant browser (ie Firefox) and do a workaround for the others (IE).
