He comes from a strong Christian family and they have never celebrated this time of year because they don't believe it is right for Christians to celebrate Christmas.
However, I have two children from my previous marriage. They are 8 and 11 years of age and we have always celebrated Christmas in a big way - with the tree and the decorations, family get-togethers, the Santa thing and all the rest of it.
My husband does not want this kind of thing in our home and I understand completely. However, I know how big a deal it is for the kids and how much they look forward to this time of year (and I kinda like it too).
So, I was wondering what your thoughts are about Christmas and how you celebrate it, if you do?
Thanks!

Your situation is not unique. These days, more and more Christians are studying God's Word more intently with understanding and are realizing that the 'Christmas' traditions have been forced upon mankind for 1700 years by incorrect Bible translations, deliberate false teachings and the commercialism of industry.
That being said, we should allow the family aspect of 'Christmas' to be part of the teaching and learning experience that our children go through so they are led to an understanding of the true dates but are also allowed to have an enjoyable time... if they wish to. Understanding the correct time line of Christ's conception and birth is a basic part of Christianity and those churches who cling to the old ways and incorrect teachings are not only deceiving the members, but are deceiving themselves.
For those who are fortunate enough to own 'The Companion Bible', please use all four sections of Appendix 179 to see the proper time lines of Christ's conception, birth and early years. This link below will provide all 198 Appendixes for study, but initially scroll down to #179 and read the data provided. Make these studies a part of your children's education. When they fully understand what 'Christmas' really is and what it really is not, they, themselves, may mention to you that it is something that they would rather not engage in any longer. It takes time, but children are wise in their years and learn and understand things much more than we give them credit for sometimes. If you have any questions, please PM me for additional study resources.
May God bless your family in your studies...
