I remember when I was a kid, I’d be at my friends farm and we would go out into the field and pick the corn, load it into the back of a pickup truck. My friends dad would drive it down to the highway and we would sit there and sell it to whoever stopped for 25 cents a dozen, if I remember correctly. We were told to make sure they take a bakers dozen too, just incase they get a bad ear of corn.
That was the best corn, fresh out of the field and on the dinner table.
Boy, I feel old now. That was over 35 years ago.
I better take my Geritol and go to bed.
