It seems the only time they do it is when you really are doing something wrong. Then people really love making a big scene and gossip about it. Because they are thankful that it wasn't them.

In other words, if someone is hurting you and saying things about you, expect no response from anybody. A lot of people don't have pity for good people.

Mellow, I am sorry but I don't agree with the three strikes your out theory and realize that each one has to work out their own problems in their life. Jesus tells us to forgive some one 7x 70 and even more and if we have done everything to forgive that person and showed the fruit of the spirit , love , patience, kindness etc then we can come away without guilt and in complete peace that with the Lord we have done everything to try and mend the relationship.

Jesus also told us that it is better for us to eat a crust of bread in peace than to eat steak in turmoil . ( Now I have to look that verse up ).

If we have followed Jesus example and all else fails, then we are not responsible for the actions of the other person. We can brush the dust from our feet and move on.

Christ has given us the confidence that we do not need to be held hostage by some one else. Just my experiece and opinion so don't jump down my throat .

Too often we get hurt by what other people say and do to us but lets step back and see where the route is coming from and you will see always, that it is satan who wants to come between the path of the believer.
