While I have differant and specific prayers on any given day, these two peices of scripture, this prayer and the words of this song express my expectations of my father in heaven every day.
Mat 6:11 Give us this day our daily bread.
Mat 6:12 And forgive our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
Mat 6:13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
Pro 30:7 Two things have I required of thee; deny me them not before I die:
Pro 30:8 Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me:
Pro 30:9 Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the LORD? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain.
God, grant me the patience to accept the the things I cannot change, the strenght to change the things I cannot accept and the wisdom to know the differance.
I am weak, but Thou art strong;
Jesus, keep me from all wrong;
I'll be satisfied as long
As I walk, let me walk close to Thee.
Just a closer walk with Thee,
Precious Jesus, hear my plea,
Daily walking close to Thee,
Let it be, dear Lord, let it be.
This is how I hope to apply this in my daily foot steps. To be as Paul in respect to wants. To learn to be content no matter my circumstance.
Phi 4:11 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
Sincerely
in Him
