HURRICANE BERTHA
The storm is now a Category 1 Hurricane with sustained winds at over 90 MPH and gusts to 115 MPH. This storm will intensify to Category 2 status late tonight... and possibly higher.
Bertha is once again encountering the stronger upper level steering currents and should make a turn to the north within 2 to 3 days. This will bring the hurricane very close to Bermuda this weekend and persons in Bermuda are being asked to monitor this storm carefully because of it's erratic storm track thus far.
