How much more

Heb 9:13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:
Heb 9:14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
Dead works- works born of the strength and wisdom of man, penance paid after forgiveness is received, continual dead and useless efforts to punish ourselves and pay a debt no longer owed. These have no place in our conscience. We have been sin conscience- in the flesh and even more so under the law. Now we are called to be God conscience. We are to be conscience of the work He has planted in us, of the righteousness He has given us. We are to come into His presence as freely as a toddler runs to be held by his dad.
Heb 10:22 of Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
So the question may well be- do we this full assurance in our heart or are we still judging ourselves under a law that we will never measure up to.
