Mark, you are swimming against the current of this culture's thinking. There is going to be much opposition to it. But I want to encourage you to keep standing for your convictions and not be swayed by popular thought. You dont have to sling bible verses at them, aggressively, but quietly (with a smile!) tell them the same thing, using your own words. Treating a woman like a valuable treasure is rare these days. She will appreciate it.
Hang in there, Mark!
Good verse and good points, Fluffy!

Mark ~

I also wanted to toss out the reminder that even if she doesn't appreciate it... the Lord does. We need to do 'right' regardless of whether our fellow 'man' recognizes it or appreciates it or acknowledges it. That's where it can become difficult and discouraging. But always try to remember that our 'reward' for doing 'right' doesn't come from mankind here on earth... true reward comes from our Lord!

The other thing to remember when this happens is... the witness you give when you 'do/behave/respond right' (in a godly way) is more powerful than any words you can speak. I'm reminded of Paul and Silas who endured all that persecution and pain just so the jailer and the other prisoners could see their witness and subsequently hear the gospel. I'm positive that they trusted God in every circumstance - good or bad, easy or hard, short-lived or long suffering - that it was for someone's good and for His purpose.

"Preach the Word always, use words if necessary" comes to mind...

Keep on keeping on, brother! To God be all the glory!
