Jesus mentions this in the book of Matthew:
Mat 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. |
We have got the Holy Scriptures to test for truth and the Holy Spirit. God will not allow us to be deceived unless we are willing participants OR it is as Jax said for a time (temporary) to glorify God.
