Luk 16:24And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am in anguish in this flame.
In this verse, the word translated to “flame” is just that. A flame of fire.
And there will be torment for everyone in the “lake of fire”.
I’m not trying to argue. I don’t think it will just be separation from God, but separation from God and everlasting torment and pain.
But the good news is we don’t have to go there.
