While the only place the tithe is mentioned to the new testament Church is in reference to practicing Jews the young Church had all things in common. We are given examples of folks selling their worldly possessions and laying them at the feet of those that were trusted . I am not advocating selling the roof over your head but I still believe that 10% is a good place to START.
