I know just how you feel! I wanted some things too. I wanted health insurance so I could get my heart checked out as well as some other issues. I still don't have insurance. An agency here in our county just paid for a mammogram because I had a lump and lots of cancer in my family otherwise I would still not know.
He says this in John 15:18: "If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me FIRST." (my emphasis on the word first) To me....that's a clear indicator that you belong to Him!!!
We are reduced to living in a dumpy little trailer in a trailer court and we barely make ends meet.
I fight depression too.
What He keeps telling me is this:
John 12:25
The man who loves his life will lose it, while the man who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.
He also says.....My grace is sufficient for you.
I truly believe that He is coming soon. I know that the disciple's lives were much harder than mine and so that gives me some comfort. When I read what Paul went through and how he was beaten....whipped (imagine it) over and over from town to town and thrown into prison and shipwrecked etc. etc. I realize that no matter what problems I have.....the greatest gift is Jesus Christ in the midst of our storms.
I know it gets old. I know we get tired and weary and it just hurts sometimes when you see others walking around with their heads held high with wealth and prosperity and comfort while there are those of us who are going without. But Jesus Himself said :
Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
